FACCSF Panel Discussions are quarterly
events aimed at exploring High-tech industry trends.
They bring a
panel of experts in front of an audience of Bay Area Senior
Executives.
The events are moderated by an Industry expert and the
format encourages exchanges between the panelists and with the
audience.
Conferences typically attract upwards of 50 attendees and
represent an opportunity for peer networking.

Glenn
joined Partech in 1997. He focuses on enterprise software.
Previously he was with SPO Partners, a San Francisco private
investment partnership, and Goldman, Sachs & Co. Glenn holds
an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where
he was an Arjay Miller scholar. He also received a BA in
Public Policy from Stanford. His investments include
Bocada, Digital Island (acquired by Cable &
Wireless), Ingrian Networks, Pentasafe
(acquired by NetIQ), QuinStreet and Vignette (VIGN).

Nightengale, Department Head, Emerging Products, VISA USA |
|
Brad Nightengale joined
Visa USA in March of 2000, and is presently a Department
Head within Visa USA's Emerging Product Group. He is
responsible for leading strategic initiatives, developing
e-commerce solutions and emerging payment technologies,
which position Visa as the preferred payment card for online
transactions.
In his position, Brad
manages the e-commerce channel for Visa USA, executing
strategies to increase penetration of vertical channels and
identifying solutions to such issues as phishing, identity
theft, and authentication. In addition, Brad performs
strategic analysis of Verified by Visa, an identity
verification product that has become the standard for
payment security and fraud prevention in the e-commerce
market space.
Before joining Visa USA in 2000, Brad
worked for Citibank as a Product Manager, leading the
development and sales of consumer products. His earlier
career included four years as an Area Manager where he
developed and led branch based marketing efforts within the
Bay Area. Brad has a BS in Finance from Oklahoma State
University and an MBA from Golden Gate University.

David
Perry, global director of education at Trend Micro,
represents the company's Internet content security awareness
endeavors through speaking engagements at industry trade
shows and conferences. Recognized as a leading authority on
computer virus prevention, Perry has more than 25 years of
experience in the technology sector, which includes working
with industry-leading antivirus vendors and educating the
public about virus prevention. He speaks regularly at
security events and with the media, and has co-chaired a
conference at the White House on the topic of public
education and critical system security.
At Trend Micro, Perry works to educate network
administrators, computer users and the public at large about
computer viruses and how to protect against them. Prior to
joining Trend Micro, Perry served as technical support
analyst with Peter Norton Computing, managed online support
at McAfee, and was spokesperson at Cybermedia corporation.
While at Trend Micro, David Perry has spoken at several
trade shows, including Comdex, and USENIX, has keynoted
conference venues such as Security Forum, InfoSec and RSA,
and addressed the National Security Council at a White House
conference on computing threats. Perry has appeared on
numerous national and regional television and radio
broadcasts, and is and is often looked to as a resource by
news agencies such as CNN, Reuters, Associated Press, The
New York Times and The Washington Post.

Toubba, VP Marketing and Product, Ingrian |
|
Mr. Toubba comes to Ingrian with an
extensive background in enterprise security, managed
services, and content delivery. Most recently, he was Vice
President of Product and Services Management at Exodus, a
Cable & Wireless service. Mr. Toubba had P&L
responsibility for the $500 million Exodus integrated
network, hosting, CDN, and managed services business.
Previously, he was Director of Managed Services at Digital
Island, a Cable & Wireless company, where he was
responsible for integrating and aligning a global hosting,
security, and managed services business. Prior to Digital
Island, Mr. Toubba was responsible for establishing and
growing the EMEA business for Whistle Communications,
which was subsequently acquired by IBM. Mr. Toubba held
prior positions in systems engineering and customer
support with Whistle Communications and NetManage.

M'Raihi, Ph.D. - Principal Scientist, VSS, VeriSign |
|
Dr.
David M'Raihi is
Principal Scientist at Verisign.
He recently authored the HOTP internet draft, endorsed by
OATH (the initiative for Open AuTHentication) as a
submission to the IETF for standardization of a one-time
password algorithm enabling strong authentication for
mobile users.
David
is a recognized expert who co-founded Gemplus' crypto labs
in 1993 with Dr. Naccache, current head of Security
Technologies Department for Gemplus worldwide. The labs
have grown to nearly 60 software and hardware security
experts. He was the lead architect and project manager
for smart VISA Access, a secure solution designed for
authentication and access control of banking applications.
David was appointed
Director of Technology with Gemplus' Corporate Development
in 2000. He led technical due diligences, identified and
qualified investment opportunities for Gemplus' venture
capital group, participated in divestiture operations and
served as technical project leader for Joint Ventures and
strategic Alliances.
Dr. M'Raihi
has been involved in the design, development, audit and
certification of secure schemes and software applications
and systems for almost 15 years. He has authored and
co-authored numerous papers and patents encompassing
software protection, fast encryption algorithms,
public-key authentication methods and digital signature
techniques.
Dr. M'Raihi
completed his Ph.D. in Cryptography under the supervision
of Jacques Stern, Director of the Computer Science
Department of the Ecole Normale Superieure (Paris,
France).

- Daniel Chatelain, CEO, Bozca -
Bay Area start-up, secure wireless
transactions |
|
Daniel
started his career more than twenty years ago as a pioneer
of the Minitel, focusing on banking, telecommunication and
media services. He is a serial entrepreneur and has
launched several technology ventures within the EADS Group
(Airbus, Ariane Espace, Eurocopter) and the Lagardere
Group (Elle, Womans Day, Car & Driver, Hachette, Canal
Satellite). Most recently, he founded
Bozca Corporation in San
Francisco, an upcoming player in the wireless security and
payment field. Daniel Chatelain
graduated in 1982 from the University of France with
master's degrees in physics and mathematics, and a
specialty in semiconductors. He is on advisory boards of
several startups in the Silicon Valley and Europe. |
