Presentation of Women in Business:
The French
American Chamber of Commerce in San Francisco (FACCSF) invites
regularly the Francophile Women in Business to a professional
network to promote their career, broaden their professional
horizon and enhance their financial acumen.

Marylene
Delbourg-Delphis
Marylene Delbourg-Delphis started her high-tech
career as the founder/CEO of ACI/ACI US (now 4D), the creator of
4th Dimension, a high-end database/application development tool
originally on Macintosh ported to Windows and Web-enabled in 1996.
She founded ACI in France, set up subsidiaries in Europe and the
US and grew ACI from zero to $45M with no funding. After 1998, as
a turnaround, interim or virtual CEO, she has helped multiple
young companies define their offering, build their strategy and/or
structure their operations. Some of these companies include Atomz
(Application Service Provider-ASP), Intalio (Business Process
Management), Zembu Labs (Distributed Email Management), Prismedia
(Streaming Media), Asempra (Backup/Recovery management), Exemplary
(Supply Chain Management -Lean and Six Sigma), Glacis (Materials
development for semiconductor thermal management). She is
currently the acting CEO of Brixlogic, a 4GL to design XML Web
services. Prior to being an entrepreneur, she taught Philosophy (Ph.D),
History of Sciences, and Formal Logic. She was also a journalist
and has authored several books on the history of fashion and
fragrance.
Shelley
Bradford-Bell is a veteran public executive, community organizer,
fund developer and public relations and promotions consultant. Ms.
Bradford-Bell is Executive Director of the Bayview Opera House
(since 1997) a historic landmark that serves as a Bay Area
performing arts facility and youth development center. In 1983 she
founded her own consulting firm, SBB Communications, specializing in
public relations for small businesses, corporate relations programs,
environmental and engineering firms, and established the Northern
California Environmental Expo. Internationally, Shelley works with
arts organizations in Paris and Africa. She designs programs which
build global connections between communities relative to cultural
heritage and the arts, health and environmental justice, and
economic development. Mayor Willie Brown appointed Shelley to the
San Francisco Planning Commission (2002-2004), where she served two
years as President. She served from 1999 to 2002, as a Commissioner
and Vice President on the Commission on the Environment. In 2001 the
Mayor appointed her to the Workforce Investment Task Force of San
Francisco. Shelley also served the City of San Francisco as a
member of the Pier 70 Advisory Board and as a member of the Hybrid
Vehicle Task Force. Shelley has volunteered on numerous non-profit
boards. Currently on the Board of Mission Hiring Hall, her former
board positions include: President of Infusion One; President of
Florence Crittenton Services, Co-Chair of the Bay Area Black
Journalists Association, Board Member of the YWCA of San Francisco
and Marin, Chair of the Structural Committee of the Bayview
Neighborhood Jobs Initiative Welfare-to-Work Committee and a board
member of Bethel A.M.E. Economic Development Corporation. In January
of 2005 Shelley received the Distinguished Community Service Award
from the Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Committee. She has been
honored with the 2003 Maida Springer-Kemp Award from the A. Phillip
Randolph Institute; 2000 Joint Recognition from Assemblywoman Carole
Migden and State Senator John Burton; the 2001 Local Hero Award from
KQED Television for community service; the 1999 Bay Area Black
Journalists Association, member of the year, the 1998 Visionary
Award from Spotlight Magazine/Noir Records, and the 1997 Trendsetter
Award from the Women's Foundation. She has received numerous
certificates of recognition from Mayor Willie Brown Jr. and the San
Francisco Board of Supervisors for her service and commitment to
community.
