For this edition, we have the
pleasure to showcase
Marianne Wu
from
MDV
and
Dagmar Dolatschko
from
Peritus Precision Translations.

Marianne Wu brings a broad business
and technology background to her role at MDV. She focuses on
Cleantech investments.
Prior to joining MDV, Marianne was vice president of
marketing at ONI Systems where she was responsible for
product strategy and market development. Earlier in her
career, Marianne was a consultant at McKinsey and Company
where she advised major technology clients on strategic and
operational issues. Marianne has conducted state-of-the-art
research in materials, devices, and systems at Stanford
University and started her career as a design engineer at
Nortel Networks where she developed high-speed networking
technologies.
She is a member of Hua Yuan Science and Technology
Association (HYSTA) VC Group; Environmental Entrepreneurs
and is on Advisory Committee of the Western Governors'
Assocation.
Marianne earned both her doctoral and master's degrees from
the School of Engineering at Stanford University and her
bachelor's in Applied Science at the University of British
Columbia.

Dagmar Dolatschko began building her translation
agency, Peritus Precision Translation, Inc. in 1996 in
Plymouth, Massachusetts. Peritus just moved into bigger
quarters to Seaport, Redwood City, to accommodate the firm’s
growth, which is partially driven by certifications such as
ISO 9001:2000 and WBENC.
Prior to starting Peritus, she held
positions in import, export, and worldwide marketing. She
gained her experience in the non-profit field as board
member of various other organizations (WIT, GBANE), and
served as former president of the German American Chamber of
Commerce, Arizona Chapter and co-founder and
interim-president of GABA California. Her unique skills
combine a hands-on knowledge of translation with practical
experience in global trade and business development.
Dagmar is a
German native, holds a German Masters Degree in Translation
and an MBA from Notre Dame de Namur University, California.
