Rachel Lautherier-Mourier recently arrived from Paris with her husband Pierre Francois Mourier, Consul General of France in San Francisco and their 2 daughters. She has a brilliant academic career. She had a Ph.D in French Literature in 2002 with the highest honors from the Universities of Paris-IV and Montreal. She has published several articles since 1996 on the topics of literature, the arabo-persian culture, the concept of travel … She participated in many conferences and colloquium. She also has an extensive experience in teaching. She started by teaching  French grammar in Boston and then taught several years at the University in France and Abroad (USA and Canada) in the literary field.
She worked as program manager for the CNRS in 2006-07 and as ‘’Conseiller Relations Internationales et Vie etudiante", for Cabinet of Francois Fillon, the actual French Prime Minister when he was Minister of National Education in 2004-05.
