Exchange Visitor J-1 Program
Seize the opportunity to add international value to your company and to bring highly educated and skilled young people to your business by participating in the Exchange Visitor J-1 Program.
This program allows participants to come to the United States for up to 12 months as Interns or for up to 18 months as Trainees on a J-1 Visa. This visa is a non-immigrant visa category for individuals approved to participate in work-based exchange visitor programs.
As an official designated sponsor by the Department of State, the French American Chamber of Commerce (New-York chapter) is authorized to sponsor eligible Interns and Trainees on a J-1 visa by issuing the Certificate of Eligibility, form DS-2019.
There are multiple benefits of this program:
Add top young international talent to your workplace
Promote international understanding between France and the United States
Flexible format allows you to host exchange visitors from one to eighteen months
Visa extensions are fast and seamless
As an exchange visa, no pre-approval necessary from the Department of Labor or Customs and Immigration Services needed
Not subject to quotas like other visa categories
Visa application handled directly by U.S. consular post overseas
The French American Chamber of San Francisco is your best partner to guide and assist you during all the process. FACC (New-York Chapter) has over 30 years of experience as a sponsor, knowledgeable and bilingual staff and ensure a permanent link to government officials on both sides of the Atlantic.
