Meet the Expert
ABOUT THE TOPIC
You failed to get your business featured on Techcrunch, The Verge or the New York Times so far and want to know what you are doing wrong?
You are an expert of PR in your home country but you are new to US Media?
You have never sent a press release in your life, and don't know where to start?
This meeting will be about demystifying media relations here in America. It will be especially geared towards companies with a foreign background attempting to get US media's attention. It will also deliver tips on do's and don't about local PR practices and clever tricks you can use to start your own PR and build a long lasting relationship with media partners.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Alicia Eyme has been a PR consultant for 7 years both in Europe and in the USA. She has worked with all kinds of clients from huge corporation like Monster, to professional organisation or early stage startups. For the past 2 years, she specialised in helping international companies from Europe and Asia settling in the Bay and get accustomed to american ways. She is a senior account manager at Oxygen PR, a PR mentor at incubators The Refiners as well as the FiSF, the fashion incubator of San Francisco.
Through her work and guidance, companies can design a message that will both stay true to their brand and make their uniqueness shine through and attract journalists' eye (which is no easy task!). She is very well versed in tech, crowdfunding, attending global conferences like CES or SXSW and her personal favorite: fashion creation!
