2017 will be an important year for our organization, with many projects and a management transition.
I am thrilled to share with you the news of the return of Laurence Fabre, who joined the chamber on January 10th, as Deputy Director. Laurence will work closely with me in the coming months, with the goal of taking over the position of Executive Director in the summer. I indeed have the plan to start a new chapter of my life and relocate with my family in France. This transition plan will ensure a smooth transition in the Chamber's management.
We have a great year planned, with more networking and programmatic events, a development of our membership and trade services. And of course, we are planning the 2017 editions of the FABA and La Soiree which will not disappoint! The Chamber's delivery of its mission and services to its members and the community will continue to thrive in 2017 and beyond.
It is not time for farewells yet, as I remain your Executive Director until the summer. We however wanted to share with you what we believe is a great plan to ensure the Chamber's continued success. I am also very happy to welcome back Laurence who has already demonstrated that she adds tremendous value to the Chamber, its mission and the community it serves.
Laurence, myself and the team look forward to seeing you all at our events in the coming months.
