J-1 Visa

As an official designated sponsor by the Department of State, the French American Chamber of Commerce (New-York chapter) is authorized to sponsor eligible Interns and Trainees on a J-1 visa by issuing the Certificate of Eligibility, form DS-2019.

This program allows participants to come to the United States for up to 12 months as Interns or for up to 18 months as Trainees on a J-1 Visa. This visa is a non-immigrant visa category for individuals approved to participate in work-based exchange visitor programs.

How does it work:

  1. Our recruiters screen each resume related to the position needed.
  2. We call each potential candidate for an assessment over the phone.
  3. We interview each selected candidate.
  4. Then, we establish a short-list of candidates matching your needs.
  5. A skype will be set up with you and the selected candidates.
  6. Finally, we organize a face-to-face meeting for the last 2 candidates.

Our price:

  • 15% of the employee’s first annual gross salary for FACCSF members.
  • 20% of the employees first annual gross salary for Leads who are not members.

As a chamber, we receive resumes from active candidates seeking jobs and internships throughout the Bay area. We also work with some of the best engineeringbusiness, and communicationschools in France and are a sponsor for the J-1 visa.

Our member-driven network makes it possible for our recruitment center to connect member companies seeking interns, part-time or full-time employees with quality candidates. Its aim is thus to facilitate this connection.
