The FACCSF in partnership with Challenges is glad to introduce the 5th live panel session of the series: France Vs. Silicon Valley: what are the challenges & opportunities of reopening businesses?

 

 What are the challenges and how/where can we find opportunities during this reopening phase?

As California's and France businesses have started reopening businesses, employers are facing countless new questions and unprecedented new challenges. Our guests speakers Alexandre Dayon, Chairman of Salesforce Advisory Board, Anne Bezancon, COO of Ericsson Emodo, and Jean-Luc Decaux President and Co-Chief Executive Officer, JCDecaux North America will discuss this new topic as well as the key role of technology.  

Among many topics, the panel will focus on:

Alexandre Dayon, Chairman of Salesforce Advisory Board

The Salesforce Advisory Board is a network of CEOs and Leaders who advise Marc Benioff, the Board of Director and Salesforce officers on strategic directions for the company as well as act as ambassadors of the company with strategic customers C-Suite. Alex Dayon has held several executive positions at Salesforce, most recently President and Chief Strategy Officer, prior to that Dayon lead the Salesforce product organization for 10 years, growing the product portfolio from $1B of annual revenue to $10B. Dayon joined Salesforce in 2008 through the acquisition of InStranet, a leading knowledge-base company where he was a founder and served as its CEO. Prior to InStranet, Dayon was a founding member of Business Objects SA where he led the product group for more than 10 years. Dayon holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from CentraleSupelec in France. 

Anne Bezancon, COO of Ericsson Emodo

As Chief Operating Officer of Ericsson Emodo, Anne Bezancon is responsible for business operations and oversees direct sales, account management, ad operations, and privacy.  Prior to Emodo, Anne founded Placecast (acquired by Ericsson) in 2005 where she served as President. Before Placecast, Anne was VP of Directory Services at JiWire (now NinthDecimal). Through the relationships she developed with more than 300 service providers worldwide, she built the leading directory of public wi-fi hotspots from scratch. Before JiWire, Anne was the founder and CEO of BEAP, where she provided custom content management solutions for online publishers. Anne also served as Executive Producer at Productopia, where she coordinated web strategy, business objectives, content and technology - the company quadrupled in size during her tenure. Anne also co-founded PCI, a strategic consulting firm that specialized in alliances between the U.S. and Europe, and in 1994, she organized the 40,000-participant Forum of the United Nations Conference on Women in Beijing, China, securing major corporate sponsorship from Apple and Hewlett-Packard. In the late 1980s, she also pioneered the Minitel system in France.  Anne holds an LLM and JD from the University of Paris and an MBA from the IEP of Paris, France. She is the author of several patents and a frequent speaker and panelist at industry events.  

Jean-Luc Decaux, President and Co-Chief Executive Officer, JCDecaux North America

Jean-Luc oversees Sales, Marketing and Digital/Data strategy for the group, including its Airport, Street Furniture, Transit, Mall, and Billboard Advertising programs.   Jean-Luc joined JCDecaux USA (New York) as Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing in December 2000 and two years later, the company named him Co-CEO of an expanded JCDecaux North America.   Prior to that, he spent 13 years working for the International Division of the JCDecaux Group, launching the advertising franchises in both London and Sydney, Australia. He was a Sales Director in the London office for eight years, and worked for three years in Sydney where the company established a coordinated Street Furniture program in time for the 2000 Olympics.    Jean-Luc also serves as a Director on the board of Geopath and as the Chair of the marketing committee for the Outdoor Advertising Association of America, Inc.
